Pacera brings together three established Nordic finance software businesses — Mercur, AARO and Aico. The site is operated by Pacera Holding AB (registration no. 5594974270), Kungsbron 21, Building G, 5th floor, 100 28 Stockholm, Sweden.

1What this policy covers

This policy explains how Pacera, as the data controller, handles personal data which you provide to us — information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“personal data”). It applies to personal data obtained through our regular business activities, website visits and activities, suppliers, marketing and events.

It does not apply to job applicants, which is covered by our Applicant’s Privacy Notice, and it does not cover personal data that Pacera’s customers put into our products — that relationship is governed by the data processing agreement.

2What personal data we collect

You provide to us

  • Name, job title, employer, business email, phone number and country — typically through a demo request, contact form, download, newsletter signup or event registration.
  • Role, systems in use, what you are trying to solve, and the content of your messages.
  • Tickets, messages, attachments and forum posts.
  • Contact details, contract and payment information.

We collect automatically when you visit our sites

  • IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, operating system, and language.
  • Pages viewed, referring source, search terms used to find us, time on page, clicks, and form starts and completions.
  • Cookie and similar identifiers.

3How we use your data, and our legal basis

  • Contact details and message content — to respond to enquiries, demo requests and support tickets.
  • Contact, contract and billing data — to manage delivery, projects, support and invoicing.
  • Name, email, employer information and engagement history — for newsletters and marketing.
  • Registration and attendance data — for event, webinar and Academy registration and follow-up.
  • Cookie identifiers and usage data — for analytics, content improvement, advertising, retargeting and campaign measurement.
  • Engagement history and firmographic data — for lead scoring and sales prioritisation.
  • IP addresses, logs and related data — for security, fraud prevention, compliance and legal matters.

Legal bases we rely on

Performance of a contract

Administering your account, responding to requests, and providing the products, services or information you’ve asked for.

Legitimate interests

Operating and improving our business, website and services, market research, working with service providers, and direct marketing where permitted.

Legal obligation

Meeting statutory and regulatory requirements, responding to rights requests, and cooperating with authorities.

Consent

Where you’ve given it — for example marketing communications after an event. You can withdraw consent at any time.

4Cookies and tracking

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies. Non-essential cookies are set only after you consent through our cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw your choices at any time.

See our Cookie Policy for full detail on the cookies used on Pacera’s website.

5Automated decisions and profiling

We use lead scoring to help our sales team prioritise which prospects to follow up with, and we tailor website content and emails based on what you’ve looked at. After our sales team reviews the lead scoring, they may get in touch — the process includes human review and is not fully automated, and it has no legal effect on you.

6Who we share personal data with

We disclose personal data where a legal basis is available and where it’s necessary to meet the purposes set out above. This may include:

  • Other Pacera group companies.
  • Third-party service providers acting on our instructions.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors and insurers.
  • Authorities, courts and regulators.
  • Third parties in the event of a corporate transaction — restructuring, refinancing, or the sale of all or part of Pacera.

7Transfers outside the EEA

Because we operate in multiple jurisdictions and use suppliers located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), your personal data may be transferred internationally. We put appropriate safeguards in place — including contractual commitments and, where relevant, recognised international transfer frameworks — to protect it to a standard equivalent to the EEA.

8How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, including responding to your enquiry or providing what you requested. Once it’s no longer needed for that purpose, or for our legitimate record-keeping obligations, it is securely deleted in line with our retention policies.

9Your rights

Subject to certain conditions, you have the right to:

Access

Ask whether we hold data about you, and get a copy.

Rectify

Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

Erase

Ask us to delete your data, where no overriding reason to keep it applies.

Restrict

Pause processing while a dispute is resolved.

Object

Object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.

Port

Receive your data in a machine-readable format for another provider.

Withdraw consent

At any time, where consent is our basis for processing.

Human review

Not be subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise any of these rights, use the contact details below — we may ask you to confirm your identity first. Not all rights are absolute: in some cases we may be unable to fully comply due to the rights of others, legal obligations, or the exercise of legal claims.

10Security of your data

We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or destruction, and we regularly review these against evolving risks. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so while we take reasonable steps to protect your data, we can’t guarantee its absolute security — any transmission is at your own risk.

11Children

Our websites and products are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, tools or the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
