Sandvik SRP implements Mercur Business Control 8

Sandvik SRP has chosen Mercur Business Control for performance management and business intelligence. Mercur Business Control will be integrated with Infor’s ERP M3 (Movex) and will be utilized for rolling forecasts covering  a 16-month rolling period. The rolling sales forecast is based on volumes and is calculated from multiple pricelists and Cost of Goods. Additionally, there are modules for forecasting personnel costs and expenses.

Utilizing data from previous period actuals allows for the creation of more accurate forecasts. Taking advantage of Mercur’s standard functionality for data rules, which connect dimensions, and automated allocation rules the data rules can be used to create a coherent data module and allocate costs to underlying levels within  in the organizational structure. Sandvik has already completed their first period close and delivered the first 16 month rolling forecast. The Mercur system will also integrate with SAP for consolidated reporting
